Skateboarding on Freaky Friday

Today I learnt my balance on a skateboard.
On Freaky Friday we got to do skateboarding skills. We had safety gear so we did not get hurt. Luckily no one got hurt. We got to choose our skateboard.

My Freaky Friday Mufti

On Freaky Friday I wore my cheer bat costume. I walked all the way to school and me and Leanne played tag at morning tea. We the bell rang we needed to go inside. When it was lunchtime we needed to go to the hall to get bake sale food and I picked a chocolate muffin. It was so good and sweet. After the bake sale we went to the Thinking Garden and played Marco Polo. When the bell rang we had to go inside to get ready for hometime. Hanna

Boo! Are you scared? Well I'm not because I am...Elsa. She is from Frozen the movie. It isn't that scary. I have not got anything for Halloween so I just dressed up as Elsa. My favourite part was when I was dancing in my dress because it was twirling over me. That was fun! BOO! Emily

Freaky Friday School Day

On Friday 31 of October we had Freaky Friday. I did not want to wear freaky clothes so I was a black butterfly. When I got to school I saw some freaky clothes. I think Tom had a cool outfit. He painted his hair grey. He was scary. I was on my way down to Room 13, my mum's class, and I saw a little witch. I think the day is scary. Asher

Freaky Friday

On Friday was had Freaky Friday because it was Halloween. I don't support Halloween so I went as a good guy and I was Jedi with a flaming sword as long as a giraffe. I had a belt to hook my light saber on and a blue dressing gown. It was the coolest Freaky Friday ever. Jaden

Freaky Friday at Howick Primary
On Friday 31st October, Howick Primary had Freaky Friday. Some people dressed up scary and ... some didn't. We dressed up as good things. Asher dressed up as a butterfly, Eva as a rockstar, Emily as Elsa and Taj as a bee. Finn, me Keriahen, Boss and Jordan came as normal but Keito came in his uniform. So did Daeton.

Boo! Today is Freaky Friday. Everyone in school is dressed up as... zombies, vampires, ghosts, even a cheerleader bat. Also a beautiful Elsa. Ahhh! A vampire is going to catch me at morning tea. There were a lot of people dressed up. I was dressed up as a cat with pretty flash glasses. It was fun. Today was the best.

Freaky Friday!!

On the last day of October 2014 the whole school had Freaky Friday! It was so amazing. We all got to dress up as freaky stuff! We also had skateboarding today as well. It will be an awesome day because we also have bake sale today. Do you know what that means? It means candy today as well!! Thomas scared me a lot. He was freaky. I was dressed up as an evil fairy. I saw some really freaky people outside. Lots of people were dressed up as Halloween stuff. Keriahen and Hannah were dressed as normal people. Some people dressed up as pretty stuff. Travis was the only one who was dressed as a zombie! Emily was dressed as Elsa from Frozen. Freaky Friday is an awesome day.

Learning to Skate

Today we were learning to skate. The first time I skated a little bit I wasn't good but then I got the hang of it. At the end when we got to ride the skateboard a long way, I went so fast and I didn't fall over. I was the first person to the other end. I even beat the boys. I wanted to skate more.

Skateboarding Fun

Today we had skateboarding skills. It was hard at the start then we did a couple of laps. First this guy called Trent told us how to get the gear on. Then he told us how to get in the right position and how to go in a straight line. After that he showed us how to go on two feet. I actually wanted to stop because it was hard. Now he showed us how to turn. I already knew how to turn.

What a spectacular morning!We had so much excitement when we were skating.We first learned how to position ourself on the skateboard and how to put our hard protective equipment on.We then had a tricky time balancing 2 legs on it, but we soon had the hang of it.What an entertaining morning!!!

On Friday 31st of October at Howick Primary School we did Freaky Friday. I dressed up as a rockstar because I don't do Halloween. There were lots of  freaky and scary costumes on people! I also go to a light party at my church at 6.30pm to 7.30pm. It is after school.

Watercare Lesson Day 2

Watercare Lesson Day 2 on PhotoPeach I was trying to make the water clean. I put toilet paper, sand and bark in the container to help clean it. Mine didn't work! Daeton

At the second Watercare lesson we  made dirty water into cleaner water. We used cotton, paper and bark. That's all I can remember. The paper came out best. Joe

On Freaky Friday lots of people came in a  cool costume. Some were freaky but some were not. The most people came in a skeleton or vampire costume. Only a small amount of people came in a witches costume.

In the water cycle experiment we had a bowl with water. We waited a couple of days to see the full cycle. The formations were: first evaporation, second, collection, third precipitation. Last but not least was condensation.

Soccer Skills

On Monday we had soccer skills and we were feeling sweaty and happy. We played 3 games called Ball Chain, Ball Rush and Cowboys and Cowgirls. It was sunny so we were sweating. The games were easy, some tricky and also entertaining.

We learnt about how to play football and do skills. We played games to learn skills. Phoenix

At soccer skills we did a warm up. After that we played Ball Rush when we had to dribble to the other side and the tagger had to kick the ball out. Then you were in. Then we played Chain Tag. It was very fun. The last game we played was Cowboy and Cowgirl. It was a hard games to play but we still had fun playing it. We all had an amazing time at Soccer Skills.

Measuring Houses

We drew on the concrete outside. We used chalk and a 1 metre ruler. We used instructions. We drew a house and a letterbox. Taj, Hannah, Jacob

We went outside and helped people measure houses. We used chalk and overlapped it with different chalk. We took our time to do it right. We used a ruler to make it straight and also do it the right length. Asher, Thomas, Jaden

Up, Up and Away

Emman: On Up, Up and Away Day we either flying kites, throwing discuses or blowing bubbles.  I was mostly fighting bubbles.

Finn: I was trying to fly my kite but there was no wind.

Daeton: I had a turn on Jaden's bubble gun.

Kerri-Leigh enjoyed playing with her friends.

Emily enjoyed chasing teh bubbles with Georgia. 

Leanne enjoyed blowing bubbles and popping them.

All three of us really loved Up, Up and Away Day.

Sewers

Watercare Experiments on PhotoPeach

 Room 6 experimented some challenges with Sally. The first challenge was to pour 9 litres of  water on the plastic cover and the rocks to form little rivers. The Rainbow fish won that challenge. The second challenge was to get to the line and shout Rainbow fish or Super bug kids or Bubbles. The Super bug kids won that challenge. The last challenge was to not get the water to the drain. No one won that challenge. We had wonderful time.
